Who is Jo van Montfort?

Jo Van Montfort is the founder of Bjond Innovation and a materials science specialist in corrosion, coatings, and structural behavior.

With more than 30 years of experience in research, inspection, and quality assurance, he works at the intersection of technology and insight – where measuring turns into understanding.

Jo combines a background in materials science and construction engineering with a curious perspective: why does a material fail, and what does that say about the design or maintenance?

He guides projects for, among others, bridges, offshore platforms, industrial installations, and heritage structures, always with one goal: sustainable performance based on facts.

I believe every material tells a story — you just need to know how to listen.
