Corrosion is rarely a coincidence. Bjond investigates the cause and rate of degradation through a combination of field research and laboratory analysis.
With techniques such as SEM/EDX, FTIR, DSC, light microscopy and salt spray or immersion tests, we visualize microstructure, contamination, and failure mechanisms.

Our materials science approach focuses on steel, aluminum, copper alloys, and composites, but also on combinations with coatings or concrete systems.
